Career challenges, personal transformations, relationship shifts, grief, and change can be uncomfortable, painful, and scary as hell, but they are chances for us to move forward. Through online counselling, we will set intentions and goals that reflect how you would like to experience specific areas of your life. Then, I will guide you through a fusion of clinical and coaching thought and behaviour-changing practices, moving you closer to your preferred way of being.
You have a story about how you got to this specific point in your life, and I am here to listen with my full attention. My attuned ear will hear the thoughts and beliefs that will help you face challenges and change and those holding you back. I will also listen for external factors (age, race, gender, ability, socioeconomic status, etc.) that shape your story. Together, we will mix realism with possibility and shift the narrative.
When facing challenges and change, knowing what you are moving away from is helpful, but it's also vital to understand what you are moving towards. After all, this is your life!

Moving towards what you want involves setting clear intentions.
The process of creating intentions looks like this:
Getting clear about your values, what you want, and why.
Acknowledging what you can and cannot change while still moving forward.
Discovering what you have the energy and resources to change and taking action.
Recognizing existing social barriers that stand in your way and shifting responsibility.
Making space for the possibility of success, joy, love, peace, and happiness.
Facing challenges and change often means staring fear in the face. Yikes! But don't worry; I’ll be with you when we work on this together! Sometimes fear is a helper; it protects us from people, places, and things that pose harm. And thank goodness for that! But fear also comes as a trickster, seeping into our daily thoughts and actions, blocking us from opportunities that are good for us. So, first, I will encourage you to listen to the different voices of fear and become familiar with them so that you can quickly tell them apart. Then, we will practice welcoming the helper and saying goodbye to the trickster so you can safely and confidently move forward.
The next step is matching more helpful thoughts with helpful behaviours. Change happens with action, so we will explore habits, practices, and routines designed to move you forward. I will offer encouragement, hold you accountable, and cheer for you when you make changes that are important to you.
One of my strengths is my ability to see the inner spark in others even when they cannot see it themselves. Behind fear and beyond struggles you shine brightly, and I can see that. That light is your superpower, your key to purpose, success, joy and peace.
